The practical advice on home Wi-Fi is that a mesh pack usually beats a single high-end router in a Canadian house with a basement, thick walls or an awkward layout — coverage is the problem far more often than raw speed. Check the number of units in the box, since the same Deco model is sold as one, two and three-packs at very different prices. On the smart home side, decide between Kasa and Tapo before you buy several, because they sit in different apps and mixing them is more awkward than it looks.

Networking and smart home gear in Canada is most heavily reduced during Prime Day in July and Amazon's October event, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday the deepest window overall, especially for the smart plug and camera multipacks. Back-to-school in August brings a smaller round of cuts on extenders and budget routers.

TP-Link has no outlet stores in Canada.
