SanDisk on Amazon.ca is storage in every form: Ultra and Extreme microSD cards for phones, cameras and handheld consoles, SD cards for mirrorless bodies, Cruzer and Ultra USB sticks, the dual-connector iXpand and USB-C drives, and the Extreme and Extreme Pro portable SSDs. Which capacities and models are discounted changes constantly, so this page reflects only the current state.

The tip that matters with memory cards is to read the speed class, not just the capacity. For 4K video you want a V30 or better card, and Extreme is the line that carries it — an Ultra card at the same capacity is cheaper because it is slower to write, which is fine for photos and a phone but not for sustained video. Also step up a size before you step down a class: the price per gigabyte usually improves at the larger capacities, and cards fill faster than anyone expects. Buy from a seller you trust, since counterfeit cards are a real problem in this category.

Storage is one of the most heavily discounted categories in Canada and moves with Amazon's own events: Prime Day in July and the October event, then Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are typically the deepest of the year. Back-to-school in August is a genuine second window for USB sticks and portable drives.

SanDisk has no outlet stores in Canada, so what you see is retail pricing and clearance. Reductions tend to appear on the older generation of a portable SSD after a revision, on capacities being phased out at the small end, and on multipacks of cards or sticks. Because the Canadian assortment is narrower than the American one, a specific capacity can be discounted here simply because it is the last of the stock.
