Mattel deals

This page collects the Mattel products that were reduced at the last price check — not the entire catalogue, only the items with a real cut against the retailer's own reference price.

You get the current price, the list price it was struck from, and the saving in dollars on every card. As soon as an offer ends, the product drops off the page.

On Amazon.ca, Mattel means Barbie dolls and playsets, Hot Wheels cars, track sets and premium die-cast, UNO and the rest of the Mattel Games shelf, Fisher-Price infant gear, Mega building sets, Polly Pocket and licensed lines such as Disney and Jurassic World. Which of those are genuinely reduced moves around constantly, so this page shows only the present state.

The Hot Wheels lesson applies across the brand: multipacks are where the arithmetic works. A ten- or twenty-car bundle almost always beats singles per car, and the same holds for UNO and card games sold as a two-pack. On dolls, the difference between a basic doll and a playset version is large, and the listing titles do not always make it obvious which one is on offer.

The windows that count in Canada are Amazon's October event, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and then Boxing Day through Boxing Week into January, when toy stock left over from December is cleared. July's Prime Day is the significant mid-year event, and summer also tends to be when outdoor and ride-on items move.

Mattel does not run its own outlet stores in Canada, so reductions come from retail clearance. Typically it is the previous year's Barbie or Hot Wheels assortment, film and series tie-ins after the release window closes, and playsets that take up shelf space. Because the Canadian assortment is smaller than the American one, some lines are only ever cleared here rather than restocked.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.

Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
