A skincare sale on Amazon Australia mostly means the pharmacy shelf: cleansers and moisturisers from Cetaphil, CeraVe, La Roche-Posay and Neutrogena, sunscreen and self-tan from Bondi Sands, NIVEA body care, and Sukin for natural skincare. On the makeup side, sales tend to turn up on Maybelline and L'Oreal Paris mascara, foundation and lip colour, plus Garnier hair colour. Which of these are reduced changes constantly.
When you shop a sale on cosmetics, work out the unit price. The same moisturiser comes in a small tube, a large pump and a twin pack, and the biggest percentage is not always the cheapest per millilitre. Check the expiry on sunscreen, since a giant bottle you cannot finish in time is no bargain, and match foundation shades to swatches or a shade you already own, because returns on opened makeup are limited.
In Australia the beauty calendar starts with the EOFY sales in June, when pharmacy ranges are cut broadly, then Prime Day in July, Click Frenzy and Black Friday in November, and Boxing Day, when Christmas gift sets that did not sell get marked down.
Makeup sales and skincare discounts usually land on multipacks, value sizes, packaging refreshes where the old bottle is cleared, and seasonal lines like fake tan after summer. Newly launched formulas and smaller prestige items rarely drop.
The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.
Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
