Sony's Australian range is unusually wide: the noise cancelling over-ear headphones and wireless earbuds, Bravia televisions, home theatre soundbars and portable speakers, Alpha mirrorless cameras and E-mount lenses, and the PlayStation hardware, controllers and accessories. Only part of that is discounted at any moment, and this page carries just the part that is reduced today.

The strongest advice concerns the headphones and the televisions, and it is the same advice: buy last year's. When a new flagship headphone generation or a new Bravia model year arrives, the outgoing one falls sharply while the real-world difference stays small. With cameras, check whether a listed price includes the kit lens or is body-only, since the two are often listed side by side and look almost identical in the title.

Televisions and audio bottom out over Black Friday and Cyber Monday and again at Boxing Day into the January clearance. The mid-year Bravia lineup announcement is the other trigger, because it pushes the previous model year down for months afterwards. Prime Day in July mostly moves headphones and earbuds. If you are waiting for the Sony Boxing Day sale, televisions and soundbars are the categories to watch; headphones often reach their low a few weeks earlier, around Black Friday.

Sony does not operate consumer outlet stores in Australia. What gets reduced is previous model-year televisions during run-out, superseded headphone generations, colour variants, and bundles that pair a console or camera with an accessory.
