Hot Wheels deals

The Hot Wheels assortment on Amazon Australia is mostly die-cast: single 1:64 cars and themed multipacks of five, ten or twenty, track builder sets and loop and launcher kits, the larger City and Action playsets, Monster Trucks in 1:64 and the bigger scales, and the collector-oriented Premium and Car Culture lines with real riders and metal bases. What is discounted at any moment moves constantly, and this page tracks only the current state.

If you are buying for a child rather than a shelf, the multipacks are the sensible purchase and the Premium lines are not — they cost several times more per car for detail a six year old will not notice. If you are collecting, the reverse holds, and the thing to check is whether a listing is the mainline card or the Premium version, because the photos look similar and the price gap is large. Track sets are also worth checking for compatibility: the orange track connects across sets, but motorised boosters need batteries that are rarely included.

Toys follow a sharp calendar here. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the deepest cuts of the year, Amazon's October event opens the pre-Christmas run, and Boxing Day through the January clearance is where the remaining Christmas stock lands. Prime Day in July is the useful mid-year window.

Hot Wheels has no outlet stores in Australia and is sold through toy chains, department stores, supermarkets and online. The reductions typically fall on last year's multipacks and playsets, retired series once a new wave arrives, and bundles once the festive season has passed.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.

Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
